Sunil Kumar Jhingan was born in 1965 in Varanasi, India. Inspired by his grandfather’s daily yoga practice and rituals, Sunil began to practice at a very young age. Yoga was an integral part of his elementary school curriculum. Since these beginnings, he has refined and improved his yoga practice.
While in the Indian army, Sunil realized how much yoga meant to him and shaped his life. He left his job to dedicate his life to yoga, and began reconnecting again. He immediately started a profound study of yoga, Reiki and psychology.
Sunil established the YOGA TRAINING CENTRE in 1992, after completing his degree in psychology.
Sunil Kumar is the Founder, President and Chief Instructor of Yoga Training Centre.
He Registered the Yoga Training Centre as Indian Yoga Educational Society No. 566/2000.
He teaches an integrated blend of Hatha, Shivananda, Satyananda, Pranayama & Iyengar yoga. Sunil began practicing / studying yoga in 1970 at the age of 5 and has been teaching classes continuously to both Indian and Western students since 1982.
His energy, optimism and enthusiasm for yoga and life in general is limitless. He teaches with love, patience and a pride akin to a mother’s love for her children. He never wastes your time and instinctively knows what people can achieve through yoga: a great wonderful balance of asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing process) and meditation.
